Heimo plastic Figures | Figurenschnapp.de
Originating from a cooperation with the US-American company Marx, the German company Heimo was a manufacturer of hand-painted play and collection figures from about 1950 to 1980. At the end of the 1950s Heimo used the extensive network of the then leading toy manufacturer Marx and initially produced many figures based on Walt Disney motifs. Later, Vikings, Romans, pirates, knights, Indians and cowboys as well as US soldiers followed. While the figures produced for the US market bore the designation of origin "Germany", from the 1960s onwards some figures were marketed unchanged under the name Heimo. Finally, to suit the European market, Max and Moritz, Heidi, Pinocchio, Wickie figures and other locally known series were also produced. Although Heimo was sold in many European countries, more detailed information is very rare and even many collectors are hardly aware of it.
