Miniplast West Berlin | Figurenschnapp
Miniplast is a German brand that is still a mysterious unknown.
Even the most ardent German collectors of toy plastic soldiers have no information about him.the only clue is the inscriptions under the base; Miniplast - WEST BERLIN DEUTSCHLAND. The company must therefore have been founded after the Second World War and the division of Germany.
The figures are made of hard plastic in 54 mm scale and have a relatively nice, varied paint finish. The poses of the few very rare knights found in 25 years seem to have a connection, perhaps the sculptor, with “Merten”, the other mark originating from Berlin. The extreme rarity of the pieces, whether Wild West or medieval, indicates either a very limited production in time and number or a confidential distribution, but is most likely a result of these two factors together. In general, these figures are not only rare, but also very fragile.
